Earth Hour Message from Green Party Canada:
Earth Hour is coming to your community this Saturday, March 27th, at 8:30 PM local time.
Earth Hour is a symbolic event where people around the world are encouraged to turn off their lights for one hour to show support for action on climate change.
What are You Doing for Earth Hour? Millions of people around the globe turning off our lights together demonstrates that individual efforts, when taken together, add up to make a big difference and can be as easy as a flick of the switch.
Last year hundreds of millions of people around the world joined the Earth Hour movement by turning off their lights for one hour. Earth Hour 2010 will continue the global call to action to every individual, business, and community - a call to show leadership and take responsibility for our future.
Join the Green Party on Parliament Hill at 8:30 PM for a special candlelight vigil. Be sure to arrive early to see the lights go out. For event details, visit earthhourottawa.ca.
