BPERC has another great event coming up for the public! Food security is a frightening issue of global reach. In fact, the island has only a three day food supply of fresh produce. Find out the facts and enjoy a warming winter lunch with the Burin Peninsula Environmental Reform Committee on Saturday January 30th from 12-2 P.M. The event will be held in our office above the community kitchen in Marystown at 83-85 Smallwood Crescent.
Sam Newman will show a powerpoint presentation on a number of topics, and spread the word on what WE can do!
How we are trying to make this event "green":
This will be on the enviro educators front, as we will teach attendees about some of the facts and what we can do as a whole and individually to become more food secure. |
