Get Fresh and MyGetFresh.com Bring Freshness Back to the Hip-Hop Generation...

Get Fresh is a joint collaboration between two non-profit organizations, Grind For the Green (G4G) — the largest youth-led “green” social marketing and events production organization in the nation — and Conscious Youth Media Crew (CYMC) — a San Francisco-based youth-driven, digital media production studio which provides technology and training for inner city youth to create quality media that represents their experiences, stimulates meaningful dialogue, and promotes social change — together with a coalition of national partners.

The campaign’s innovative, visionary approach employs cutting-edge, next-level, solution-oriented strategies targeting social media platforms, as well as utilizing an interactive multimedia website, educational resources, service programs — and an eco-powered hip hop festival.

How we are trying to make this event "green":

The FreshFest integrates eco-awareness and eco-education with entertainment, making learning about green practices, programs, and careers fun, while promoting sustainability through recycled materials, biodegradable foodware, and organic food. The event will feature a farmers market with locally-grown organic produce, hands-on demonstrations, a Hip-Hop Competition, a Hip-Hop Concert, and the Youth Champion Awards, honoring three outstanding young people — one from each city in the Toxic Triangle — who are taking action to address environmental issues in their communities.
